What Happens During Your Free Estimate

  1. Floor elevation measurements

Matthew takes level readings across the home, so you see where the house sits high and where it sits low, not only where the crack showed up.

  2. A look at what holds the house up

He checks the slab edge outside, or goes under the house if it is pier and beam or a manufactured home.

  3. Photos and video of what he finds

He photographs and films what he sees and shows you on the spot, including the places you cannot easily reach yourself.

  4. A hand-drawn diagram

He draws your house, marks where piers would go, and explains why each one is there. The diagram stays with you.

  5. An exact written price

Once he knows how many piers and which kind, he gives you a real price in writing. No range and no guess.

Why We Don’t Quote Over the Phone

The price of foundation repair depends on how many piers your house needs, which kind (concrete or steel), and how easy it is to reach the parts that moved. Nobody can see any of that over the phone. A number given before anyone looks at the house is a guess, and you deserve better than a guess.

Our prices are more competitive than the national companies, because two owners on site carry a lot less overhead than a call center and a fleet. The free estimate is how we get you a number you can plan around.

What to Have Ready

Nothing is required. A few things help:

  • When you first noticed the cracks, the sticking doors, or the sloping floor.
  • Any paperwork from past foundation work or a home inspection.
  • A clear path to the crawl space, or under the skirting of a manufactured home.

After the Estimate

You keep the diagram and the written price. There is no deadline and no pressure. Call us when you are ready, or call with more questions first. Before any work starts, a licensed structural engineer approves the plan, and we pull city permits wherever they are required.

Who Comes to Your House

Matthew Zeman does the estimate. He has spent nearly 20 years repairing foundations. Rosie Atkinson sets the time, keeps you posted, and tells you when the crew is coming. Matthew and Rosie own the company together, and both of them are on site for every job.

Questions About the Free Estimate

How long does the visit take?

It depends on the size of the house and how many questions you have. Matthew measures the whole home and walks you through what he finds, and he does not rush it.

Is it really free?

Yes. The visit, the measurements, the diagram, and the written price cost you nothing, and you are under no obligation to hire us.

Do I have to be home?

Yes, please. We ask that you, or someone you trust with the decision, is there so Matthew can show you what he finds and answer questions in person.

Do you look at manufactured homes?

Yes. Many companies will not, but we do. The estimate works the same way: Matthew goes under the home, measures, and gives you a written price.
